Douglas P. McManamy

Following his graduation from Hampden-Sydney College and Georgia State University College of Law, Douglas (Doug) McManamy began practicing law in 1993. For the first ten years of his practice, he represented and opposed some of this country’s largest corporations in litigation across the southeast. In 2005, he opened his own practice and began representing privately held businesses as general legal counsel along with representing lenders in asset or real estate backed lending.

Doug has served as a member of his parish Vestry, was the Secretary of the Board of Managers of the Savannah Golf Club for 15 years and has held Board and Officer positions at Hancock Day School since 2004. Doug is married with two adult sons.

Stephen Jackson

Stephen E. Jackson, Jr.

Stephen (Steve) Jackson received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia, before earning his J.D. from the Georgia State College of Law. He began practicing law in 2002 and has spent his career representing buyers, sellers, lenders, builders, and brokers of real property.

He has closed thousands of commercial and residential transactions throughout Georgia, served as an agent for several national title insurance companies, and is well versed in the nuances of title insurance and the increasing complexities associated with getting a deal to the closing table.

TJ Hollis

Thomas E. Hollis

Thomas “TJ” Hollis is a partner whose practice focuses on commercial and residential real estate transactions, as well as a broad range of corporate matters. A graduate of Benedictine Military School, TJ earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia before receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2002 and is licensed to practice in all courts throughout Georgia.

With more than two decades of experience, TJ has built a reputation for delivering a seamless and efficient closing experience. He is widely regarded as a go-to attorney for buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders who value both expertise and exceptional service. In his commercial practice, TJ guides clients through complex real estate closings and corporate transactions with precision and efficiency. He represents developers, lenders, investors, and businesses in structuring, negotiating, and closing sophisticated deals, while also advising on a range of related corporate matters.

TJ is also deeply committed to his community. He serves on the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire and is a member of the Leadership Committee for Blood Cancer United, supporting initiatives that provide critical resources and advocacy for individuals and families in need. He resides in Savannah, Georgia, with his wife and their two children. ++

Jennifer Hartley

Jennifer Hartley attended the University of Georgia for both her undergraduate degree and law school. She started her practice in 1998 before joining McManamy Jackson Hollis, LLC in 2023. Her legal expertise spans across the numerous areas, including corporate structure, purchase and lease agreements, and deed-related issues.

Lee Ann Welch

Lee Ann Welch

Lee Ann Welch went to Clemson University for her undergraduate degree, before graduating from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1997. She has practiced in real estate law for 25 years and is admitted to practice in both Georgia and South Carolina. She has been with McManamy Jackson Hollis, LLC for 10 years and now works as Title Review Attorney.

Jimmy McDonald

Jimmy McDonald

Jimmy McDonald received his bachelor’s degree from Columbia State, his master’s degree from the University of Georgia, and his JD from the Georgia State College of Law. He joined McManamy Jackson Hollis, LLC in 2023 and practices in the areas of Real Estate and Property, Wills, Trusts and Estates, and Local Government law. He is fluent Spanish.

Maria Danello Comer

Maria Danello Comer graduated from University of Georgia in 2007 and earned her JD from the Florida Coastal School of Law in 2010. She joined McManamy Jackson Hollis, LLC in 2026. A Savannah native and St. Vincent's Academy graduate, Comer is a member of the Savannah Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia.

Shelby DeMeyers

Shelby DeMeyers

Shelby DeMeyers graduated from the University of Georgia in 2021 before attending Mercer University for law school, graduating in 2024. She began her practice at McManamy Jackson Hollis, LLC in 2024. She has passed three bar exams in the states of Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida.
